I really couldn't tell you why I enjoy photography, but I can tell you how it makes me feel.
There is just something about capturing a personality-filled moment that excites me perhaps more than anything else in the
world.
My goal is always to take the asthetics and precision of portrait photography and
mix it with the storytelling, personality-grabbing elements of photojournalism.
It seems like a natural
philosophy and style that just sort of evolved for me -- I have experience in both portraiture and photojournalism.
I've done engagements, weddings, sports, live bands, and a lot of plain ol' photojournalism. I've
documented dozens of live bands for CMCentral.com, and a lot of live band stuff has ended up on the websites of successful
bands including Relient K, along with many fan sites. My work has been published in the Peoria Journal Star, Moline
Dispatch & Rock Island Argus, and Peoria's Times-Newspapers. I also took photographs for Bradley University's
yearbook while in college, and I create stock images for Shutterstock.
But what does this
style of combining portraiture and photojournalism mean for YOUR SHOOT? It means that your photos will look nice, and they
won't look generic. They will capture your moment, your personality, and your story.
If you are looking for
If you want to know more about me, don't hesitate to drop
a line.
